Norman has worked as a private practitioner for nearly 20 years. He qualified as a Physiotherapist at Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1990. He worked in the NHS for 10 years reaching the rank of a Clinical Specialist. He was involved in the day to day teaching and guidance of the junior physiotherapists in the department; he also assisted the Orthopaedic Consultants in managing their caseloads by assessing patients on their behalf.

In 1999 Norman obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and became a member of the MACP. This is an advanced field of physiotherapy specialising in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and manipulation along with an on going education in this field.

Norman has previously worked as an examiner, at Sheffield Hallam University, of qualified physiotherapists continuing their education in this field.

Norman has attended numerous post graduate courses to broaden his knowledge and enhance his expertise allowing him to reach a diagnosis of the presenting problems his clients attend the clinic with. He is proficient in the use of Acupuncture and uses this modaility for pain management, helping his pateints to reduce the amount of the compensatory dysfunctions and postural adaptations they adopt as a result of being in pain.

Norman enjoys rehabilitating his patients to achieve a full functional level, he deals with patients who have undergone total hip and knee replacements, post operative fractures of both upper and lower limbs and spinal problems that need mobilising along with postural and  core/deep postural re-education.

Norman has a hands on approach to treat his clients, notable in the assessment to identify muscle spasms and joint stiffness. This also extends to his treatment selection where a hands on approach is employed along with the use of other modalities such as electrotherapy, patients specific exercise prescription, taping for muscle re-education and acupuncture.

In his spare time Norman enjoys sport participation and regulary plays football, squash, tennis and attends the gym. He also enjoys discussing the status of Arsenal football team to anyone who will listen!!
